The Twin Cities River Monsters had to reckon with Hawaii Tropics hurler Semih Gurânî. Gurânî, who is tied for 5th in the FL in wins with 6, overwhelmed the opposition in the 9-0 Tropics triumph. Utbah bin Muta came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. At 39-24, the Tropics claim first place in the Frick League Pacific Division.

With the game tied in the top of the sixth inning and two out, Twin Cities had runners on 1st and 2nd. Randall Gray was in prime position to put his team up. But he struck out.
