Lussier Delivers Walk-Off Win for Bears
Despite a great performance by Yellow Springs left fielder Manuel Nevada, the San Fernando Bears defeated the Nine by the score of 5-4 at Chico's Bail Bonds Field. Nevada went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Richard Balgera, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-5. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. San Fernando currently is in 7th place in the Frick League Pacific Division at 26-37.

Miguel Lussier was the walk-off hero for San Fernando. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bears left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Lussier said.
