Nine Claim Late Win
The Yellow Springs Nine downed the Bikini Krill, 4-3, at Utopia Field. The Nine were led by Carlos Hernández. Hernández went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win went to Dane Colclough in relief, making him now 4-0. Félix Vidaca took the loss for Bikini. Jesús Ríos earned the save for Yellow Springs, his 16th.

Had Guillermo Espinoza not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Espinoza hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Nine.

Espinoza attributed the win to his team's "determination."
