Robins Suffer 4-2 Loss to Pioneers
|
Calgary pitcher Nalany Ahotaein did his part in helping his team beat the Brooklyn Robins, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Ahotaein, the winner, moves to 6-1. He threw 6 innings of 0-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 3 walks. Edward Harrison was called on to finish, recording his 16th save.
Resurrection Santos III had a big run-scoring double for the Pioneers in the bottom of the first inning. With Calgary leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from 11-year veteran Steven Anderton and swatted a double to center. It was his 19th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pioneers ahead, 2-0.
"We put together a nice win," Santos III said.
The win gives Calgary a season record of 33-32.
