Nine Make It 4 Straight with 5-2 Win

The Yellow Springs Nine tallied a win at Utopia Field, throttling the Bikini Krill, 5-2. Starting pitcher Sakutaro Kawano was a big reason for his team's success. Kawano got the win, improving to 2-6. He gave up 1 hit and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. Jesús Ríos nailed down his 17th save.
The Nine got a big at-bat from second baseman Juan Silva. For the game, Silva was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 17th double of the season gave Yellow Springs a 1-0 lead.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Silva told the Yellow Springs News.
The Nine, at 32-34, have now won 4 straight.
