Kapkin Belts 2 Homers in 6-0 Win
|
Dunn Field was the site for Frick League action featuring the Madison Wolves and Valencia Stars.
The Valencia Stars defeated the Madison Wolves, 6-0, at Dunn Field. Leading the charge for Valencia was center fielder Koray Kapkin. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Valencia, at 33-33, occupies 4th place in the Frick League Pacific Division.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Kapkin hit a 2-run home run off Gustavo Ayala. It propelled the Stars into the lead, 2-0.
"We've got great fans," said Kapkin. "I hope they got what they came for."
