Red-Hot Dundon Scorches Avengers
|
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Australia's Harrison Dundon made it happen against the Avengers. Everything came together at the plate for the 18-year-old left fielder as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Kangaroos triumph, 11-10, at Red Bulls Field.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Dundon said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Harrison Dundon singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jason Lawrence in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Mike Sandwell in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Brian Utley in the 9th.
This season, Dundon is batting .436 with 17 hits, 5 home runs, 16 RBIs, .511 OBP and has scored 10 runs.
