Flyers Lose By a Run at Mexico City
The Mexico City Aztecs weathered an outstanding game by Charlotte center fielder José Bedreddin to topple the Flyers, 7-6. Bedreddin went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Getting the save was Jonathan Sobers, his 6th. The third-place Flyers have lost 4 consecutive games.

Wafid Bishr had a big run-scoring double for the Aztecs in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Mexico City leading 6-4 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Clarence Moore, who led the JL in saves with 45 in 2059, and swatted a double to left. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aztecs ahead, 7-4.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Charlotte manager Walt Whitworth. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
