Montreal Beats San Antonio, 5-3
|
Montreal Blazers starter Umar Dogar was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the San Antonio Outlaws, 5-3. The winning pitcher was Dogar, now 7-1. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. Picking up his 6th save was 27-year old left-handed pitcher Wlodz Sidelsky.
Montreal used a well-timed hit by Denes Terovolas to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Blazers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We ground out the win," said Terovolas. "That's all that matters."
The 7th-place Outlaws dropped to 27-41.
