The 13-3 Boise win over New Orleans was due largely to Tsutomu Yamauchi. The Spuds left fielder went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The 4th-place Crawdads have lost 4 straight games.

Boise used the hitting of Tadanobu Otani to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Spuds on top, 11-3. For the game, Otani had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
