A good performance from first baseman Tian-yun Yeh helped the Mexico City Aztecs defeat the Charlotte Flyers, 6-2. Yeh hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Aztecs. Mexico City reliever Octávio Gallardo picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Felipe Cummings was tagged with the loss. Jonathan Sobers collected his 7th save.

Mexico City grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Nestor Saatsakis delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 3-2, in favor of the Aztecs.
