Brisas Turn Back Fighting Centaurs, 4-2
|
Piraeus Park was the site of the home opener for the Athens Fighting Centaurs. The contest featured a prime matchup between Alapai Nalani of the visiting Buenos Aires Brisas and Steven Callahan of the Fighting Centaurs. The final score was 4-2, the Brisas getting the win. Alapai Nalani turned in the best performance. Ed Curry wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
Davey McDonald, who finished 4th in the GBC in hits with 184 in 2060, had a direct impact on the outcome. McDonald contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Buenos Aires up, 4-0.
"We did enough to win," said McDonald.
