Aruba Comes up Empty Against Sangeeta
|
Karajala Sangeeta of the Punto Fijo Drillers shut out the Aruba Gold, 6-0, at Drillers Estadio de Beisbol, holding them to 3 hits with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.
Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Aruba skipper Felipe Durán called the outing from Sangeeta "a jewel."
"The way Sangeeta was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
Sangeeta's record this year is 5-and-2 with no saves and a 2.79 ERA. He has given up 56 hits in 51.2 innings with 38 strikeouts.
