Victors Again, Calgary Win Streak at 8
|
The Calgary Pioneers topped the Charm City Jimmies, 5-3, with first baseman Michael Little playing a big role. Little went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Pioneers in the win. Calgary pitcher Bob English got the win, upping his record to 8-2. Héctor Silva got the loss. The Pioneers have now reeled off 8 straight wins.
With the game tied, 2-2, in the top of the fifth, Little had a key at-bat for Calgary. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Little hit a run-scoring single off Héctor Silva, making the score 3-2, Pioneers.
