Hebrew Hammers Prevail, 5-4, Over Sao Paulo
|
Carl McIndoe made an impact in the 5-4 Jerusalem win over Sao Paulo. McIndoe, who is tied for 9th in the GBC with a .309 batting average, went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. Eric Green notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Fernando Camacho recorded his 4th save for Jerusalem.
Joram Blonke, who is a two-time All-Star, helped out the Jerusalem cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"I guess we'll all be a happy family for at least one day," said McIndoe.
The win puts Jerusalem at 10-8.
