Buenos Aires Downed, 9-5, by Fighting Centaurs
The Athens Fighting Centaurs faced a tough opponent in Buenos Aires pitcher Alapai Nalani, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Piraeus Park by a final score of 9-5. Nalani went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Buenos Aires now has a record of 7-9.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Rob Howell came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Buenos Aires pitcher Azhar Abu al Khayr, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Athens on top, 6-5.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Howell said in reaction to the win.
