Buenos Aires Roughed Up By Fighting Centaurs

The Athens Fighting Centaurs defeated the Buenos Aires Brisas, 10-3, at Piraeus Park. Leading the charge for Athens was center fielder Huo-tu Shaw. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Athens pitcher Sarsour bin Salman earned the win, hiking his record to 3-1. Gonzalo Ruíz suffered the loss. The setback makes the Brisas 7-11.
Matthew Woods, who finished 5th in the GBC EA in slugging percentage with .538 in 2061, came through for Athens with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. The left fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 RBI.
"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Buenos Aires manager Yao-qing Yuan.
