Pharaohs Lose By a Run at Sao Paulo
|
Cairo left fielder Boulus bin Altair had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. bin Altair went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Sao Paulo beat the Pharaohs, 3-2. Sao Paulo reliever Ostoja Omeragic picked up the win, while Nolan Lee took the loss for Cairo. With the win, Sao Paulo boosts its record to 14-12.
Sulayman Sami was 1-3 against the Pharaohs. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run that put Sao Paulo in front, 3-2.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Sao Paulo skipper Jesús Cabral.
