Nalani Tames Pearls, 7-0
|
Tokyo had no answer for 21-year old right-handed pitcher Alapai Nalani. The Buenos Aires Brisas starter stymied Pearls hitters, helping the Brisas cruise to victory, 7-0. Buenos Aires is now 14-22, Tokyo 25-10.
Nalani gave Buenos Aires a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.
"Alapai gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Buenos Aires skipper Yao-qing Yuan.
