River Monsters Collect 8-7 Win Over Stars
The Twin Cities River Monsters turned back the Valencia Stars, 8-7, at Land O' Lakes Ballpark. Victor Frazier, in particular, had a fine performance. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Jorge Durán earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 3-2. The Stars, at 36-38, have lost 5 in a row.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Frazier hit a changeup from Luis Pérez for a run-scoring single. The River Monsters, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Twin Cities manager Gerald Brandt was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
