Mounties Earn Late Win
|
The Vancouver Mounties tallied a win at Northwoods Outpost, throttling the San Fernando Bears, 3-2. Starting pitcher Micah Harrington was a big reason for his team's success. The win elevated the Mounties to 86-56.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Vancouver. That's when Greg Clover hit a 2-run home run off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Edgar Chávez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said San Fernando manager Joel Crawford.
