The Rocky Mountain Oysters defeated the Boise Spuds by the score of 10-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Ed Henderson. Henderson was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Oysters on the day. The win was credited to Mauro Cisneros in relief. Alberto Cardova had a big grand slam home run for the Oysters in the top of the seventh inning. With Rocky Mountain leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a curveball from 12-year veteran Juan Guzmán and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Oysters on top, 7-0.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Oysters manager Marquise Cattaneo, "I like our chances."
