Bears Spill Surfers, 6-1

The San Fernando Bears picked up a win at Vito Costantino Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Long Beach Surfers, 6-1. Starting pitcher Alexander Swanson was a big reason why. The Bears bumped their record to 82-64 with this latest triumph.
San Fernando used the hitting of Steve Morris to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bears on top, 1-0. For the game, Morris had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Swanson. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
