River Monsters Take Down Kernels, 5-4
The Twin Cities River Monsters picked up a win at Kid Krauss's Kum & Go Kourtyard, taking down the Des Moines Kernels, 5-4, in 10 innings. On the mound for Twin Cities was right-hander Enzo Bouton. He played a central role in the triumph. Jorge Durán picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 5-4. Alonso Amaya suffered the loss. Alex Payne recorded the save, his 2nd.

Max Shepperson came through with a big-time hit for Twin Cities. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We've got a great group of guys," Bouton said, "and we're having fun right now."

Twin Cities raised its record to 94-54 with the win.
