Shredders Rally to Win
The Calgary Pioneers got a superb performance from pitcher Victor Evans, but the Austin Shredders still won the game, 4-3. Evans threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The Shredders raised their record to 75-74.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Austin right fielder Pedro Contreras, facing Kelly Sims, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Shredders the 4-3 win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Contreras said.
