Daigle Now 6-8 After Beating Blazers
|
The Cape Fear Swamp Foxes locked up a win at Blackwater Field, knocking off the Montreal Blazers, 5-0. On the mound for Cape Fear was right-hander José Daigle. He played a major role in the triumph. Moananani Nana collected save number 6. The Swamp Foxes saw their record improve to 70-81.
The famously hardworking Daigle handled the Blazers all day, notching 6 strikeouts in 7.2 innings while allowing 4 hits. Daigle goes to 6-8 on the year with 68 strikeouts.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Daigle told the Cape Fear Herald.
