Montreal catcher Qaseem Kahil made his presence felt in the 7-0 Blazers triumph over the Cape Fear Swamp Foxes. Kahil hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Liam Johnston, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 5-6. With the win, Montreal pushed its record to 84-68.

With Montreal leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Kahil hit a sinker from Harry Stewart for a 2-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Blazers ahead, 3-0.
