The Omaha Cyclones topped the Des Moines Kernels, 13-3, with shortstop Juan Flores playing a big role. Flores was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Cyclones in the win. The losing streak for Des Moines has now reached 4 games.

With Omaha leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Flores hit a 2-run single off Des Moines hurler Steven Clayton. It was the 80th hit of the season for Flores and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Flores told a Omaha Daily News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
