The Yellow Springs Nine dealt the Twin Cities River Monsters a 4-3 loss at Utopia Field. Roberto Gabriel was the star on offense. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Pancho Andrés was the winner. He's now 7-2. The loser was 38-year old right-handed pitcher Will Ritter. Today's win puts Yellow Springs at 69-86, while Twin Cities falls to 97-57.

Gabriel contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Yellow Springs in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Gabriel took a changeup from Will Ritter and stroked the home run to left-center. His 32nd home run of the season allowed the Nine to leap in front, 4-2.

"I was a little disappointed," said Twin Cities manager Gerald Brandt. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
