Starting Pitcher Juan De La Cruz was lights out, as the New Orleans Crawdads beat the Charlotte Flyers, 2-1. Carlos Miranda, who finished 5th in the JL in saves with 39 last year, earned the save for New Orleans. New Orleans is now 59-97, while Charlotte is 90-66.

Adib bin Nasser drove in one run for New Orleans. The 25-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Arturo Trevino. It was his 78th RBI of the season.

bin Nasser attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
