Hustlers Notch 4-1 Win Versus Spuds
|
Jim Fleming never let Boise get something going. The Las Vegas right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Hustlers to a 4-1 win. Fleming picked up the win for Las Vegas, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 10-8. Josh Sang notched his 3rd save of the season.
António Edison had a big 2-run triple for the Hustlers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Las Vegas leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Thomas Turner, who finished 5th in the JL in strikeouts with 161 in 2052, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hustlers ahead, 3-0.
"Jim is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Las Vegas manager Henry Rectenberg.
The Hustlers improved to 82-74.
