Moscow took on Johannesburg in front of a lively crowd.

A 4-RBI performance from Godofredo Chucha, who finished 3rd in the GBC in wins above replacement with 7.6 last year, helped the Moscow Thunder Bears beat the Johannesburg Gold, 7-4. Brick Pollitt was the winner. He's now 3-4. The loser was 38-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Sandoval.

Chucha had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 fastball from Jorge Sandoval, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Thunder Bears a 4-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Chucha.

"Nervous? No," said Chucha. "It was my time to shine."

The second-place Thunder Bears now have a record of 27-24.
