Tokyo Offense Jammed Up by Hebrew Hammers
Tokyo had no answer for Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers hurler José Castro, who overwhelmed Pearls hitters as the Hebrew Hammers coasted to victory, 6-1. The 'W' lifts Jerusalem's record to 34-27.

Ted Benson had a big run-scoring double for the Hebrew Hammers in the bottom of the third inning. With Jerusalem leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Billy Kelly, who is tied for 8th in the GBC in innings pitched with 78.0, and swatted a double to left. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hebrew Hammers ahead, 2-0.

"We didn't play well enough to win," said Tokyo skipper Bernie Bagshaw.
