Moscow Earn 4-1 Victory at Manama Fields
|
Moscow turned a good performance from starting pitcher Samuel Vankrimpen into a 4-1 triumph over the Tokyo Pearls at Manama Fields. Vankrimpen picked up the win for Moscow, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-8. Moscow, with the win, climbs to 23-43.
Moscow used the stroke of Chia-kang Zhang to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Thunder Bears ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Samuel pitched his heart out," said Moscow manager Brayden Bonaddio.
