Gold Rack Up 2-0 Win Versus Buenos Aires
|
Pitcher Max Dawe was sensational for the Johannesburg Gold in his team's 2-0 triumph over the Buenos Aires Brisas. Dawe earned the win. With this game in the books, Johannesburg is 37-29, Buenos Aires 25-39.
Johannesburg got a lift in the top of the sixth from designated hitter Callum Montgomerie, who hit a fastball to left for a solo home run. His 14th home run of the season put the Gold up, 1-0.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Montgomerie. "More importantly, I had a good game."
