Pearls Tagged with 6-2 Loss
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Tokyo Pearls and Buenos Aires Brisas get after it.
Buenos Aires pitcher Maurice Jeffes did his part in helping his team beat the Tokyo Pearls, 6-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. In 7 innings, Jeffes surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Glenn Hawkins nailed down the save.
Mark Lannigan contributed to the Buenos Aires win with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Jeffes.
The win makes Buenos Aires 33-34.
