The home crowd had a good time watching the San Antonio Outlaws and Austin Shredders get after it.

The Austin Shredders pinned a convincing loss on the San Antonio Outlaws, 14-2, at Austin Baseball Grounds. Jorge Herrera was a main factor in the win. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4 for Austin. Glenn Hargrove picked up the win, lifting his record to 5-12 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 6.2 innings, while yielding 2 runs.

Herrera went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4 against the Outlaws. In the bottom of the first inning, he hit a run-scoring single that put Austin in front, 1-0.

San Antonio manager Johnnie Oh called the blowout loss "not my idea of a good time."

The Shredders improved their record to 76-82 by beating San Antonio.
