The Cobble Hill Robins picked up a win at Ubisoft Field, knocking off the Montreal Blazers, 3-1. On the mound for Cobble Hill was right-hander Bobby McHone. He played a key role in the triumph. Cobble Hill bumps their record to 82-77 with the win.
Cobble Hill used the timely hitting of Eduardo Medine to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Robins on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Afterward, Robins manager Emílio Gonzáles was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
