In a low-scoring tilt between the Charm City Jimmies and the Charlotte Flyers, 27-year old left-handed pitcher John Mellon was the difference-maker. The Charm City left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win in 10 innings. Evgeny Partyka notched his 44th save in 46 chances. The win puts Charm City at 105-54 this season.

Charm City used a timely hit from Edgardo Reyes to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Jimmies ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Mellon.
