The Cobble Hill Robins defeated the Cape Fear Swamp Foxes, 7-5, at McDermott Park at Ebbets Field. Cobble Hill third baseman Ismael Delgado had a superb performance. He went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Picking up the win was Bobby McHone. He went 5.1 innings, allowing no runs on 7 hits. The right--hander struck out 0 and walked 2. The setback makes Cape Fear 70-89.

The Robins got a big hit from catcher Eduardo Medine. Facing Cape Fear pitcher António Ramírez in the bottom of the fifth, Medine pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 17th home run of the season put the Robins ahead, 7-0.

"We scored enough runs to win," said Delgado.
