The Charm City Jimmies beat the Charlotte Flyers, 8-5, at Family Dollar Field. The Jimmies got a fine performance from left fielder Tomiichi Sasaki, who was 2 for 2 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win went to Evgeny Partyka in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Ron Madden took the loss. Miguel Reyes recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 5 for 6.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Sasaki delivered big-time for Charm City, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Ron Madden. The game-changing hit put the Jimmies on top, 7-5.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Jimmies manager Jimmy Días, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."

With the win, Charm City upped its record to 106-54.
