The Montreal Blazers defeated the Atlantic City Gamblers, 7-5, at Ubisoft Field. Leading the charge for Montreal was left fielder Manny Burgus. He was 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win belonged to Joshua Blenkhorn in relief. His record improves to 10-2. Lenya Nikushkin took the loss for Atlantic City. Augusto Ayala notched his 43rd save in 50 chances.

Had Jaime Serna not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Serna hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Blazers.

In postgame remarks, Blazers manager Paul Scholes lauded Burgus. "He's a good, young player. The future's bright for Manny."

The win puts Montreal at 95-65 this season.
