The Austin Shredders stopped the Boise Spuds, 9-2, at F. Nephi Grigg Memorial Stadium. The Shredders got a big game from Enrique Galván, who was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Shredders now own a record of 77-83.

Brent Gilbert had a big 2-run home run for the Shredders in the top of the third inning. With Austin leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a cutter from 36-year old left-handed pitcher Muneer bin Khairy and punished it. The result was his 39th home run of the season, which put the Shredders on top, 4-0.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Gilbert said. "We did a good job of that today."
