Thunder Bears Score Late, Upend Hebrew Hammers, 9-6
|
No one was more impactful than Rajko Lovre in the 9-6 Moscow win over Jerusalem. Lovre, who is tied for 10th in the GBC EA in stolen bases with 6, went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Moscow reliever Stanley Moore snagged the win, upping his record to 3-2. Fernando Camacho shouldered the loss. The Thunder Bears raised their record to 31-53.
Júlio Flores had a key at-bat with two out in the top of the eighth for Moscow. With the bases loaded and the Thunder Bears leading 7-6, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Flores, "but we could've played better."
