The Johannesburg Gold got a rain-soaked win over the Buenos Aires Brisas.

With Simão Hayagawa leading the charge, the Johannesburg Gold defeated the Buenos Aires Brisas, 12-6. Hayagawa slugged 3 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring three times for the Gold. Kiminobu Seki earned the win to go to 6-3. He allowed 5 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. Edward Johnson earned the save, his 3rd.

With Johannesburg leading 9-6 in the bottom of the seventh, Hayagawa hit a cutter from Roger Hagerty for a 3-run home run. It was his 26th home run of the season and put the Gold ahead, 12-6.

"Their at-bats were really impressive against us," said losing manager Yao-qing Yuan.

Buenos Aires now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
