The Sao Paulo Pilots had their hands full with Sydney Sharks starter Daniel González, who frustrated Sao Paulo hitters while leading Sydney to a comfortable, 6-1 win. Sydney is second in the GBC AfSAmOc with a record of 42-41.

Left Fielder Greg Godwin made an impact for Sydney, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Juan Morales in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Godwin went 1 for 5 with a triple.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Jesús Cabral.
