Sharks 8-4 Winners Versus Jerusalem
Thanks in large part to shortstop Wattas Hondo, the Sydney Sharks beat the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers, 8-4. Hondo went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Slawomir Trzcinski was credited with the save for Sydney, his 11th of the season. The Sharks now own a record of 45-42.

Sydney used a well-timed hit by Greg Godwin to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Sharks ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Godwin said. "We did a good job of that today."
