Cyclones Victors, 5-4, at Louisville
|
The Omaha Cyclones picked up a win at Kentucky Truck Plant Stadium, knocking off the Louisville Sluggers, 5-4. On the mound for Omaha was right-hander Adel bin Husam al Din. He played a key role in the triumph. Dave Ferrell got the save, his 33rd in 39 chances. The Omaha winning streak has reached 3 games.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Juan Flores? The Omaha shortstop had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Cyclones on top, 2-0. For the game, Flores had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Louisville manager Bernardo Herrera.
