Pharaohs Suffer One-Run Loss at Buenos Aires
No one was more impactful than Davey McDonald in the 6-5 Buenos Aires win over Cairo. McDonald, who finished 4th in the GBC in hits with 184 last year, went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Buenos Aires reliever Kaden Umair was the winner. His record is now 7-2. The losing pitcher was Gary Powers. Millard MacIndeor finished the game for Buenos Aires and earned his 20th save.

McDonald had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 changeup from Gary Powers, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Brisas a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for McDonald.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Cairo manager James Monger. "But we decided not to take it."
