Mad Popes Pull Out Late Win, 5-4
Sacramento beat Valencia at The Basilica at Muskrat Slough, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to right fielder Pedro Álvarez. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The victory gives Sacramento a record of 94-67.

The decisive blow was delivered by Callum Browne in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Rashid Umrani to win the game for Sacramento. The home crowd went nuts.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Browne.
